From a small town, a big dream

I grew up in a small town in Gujarat, where the world felt far away and the internet felt like a window to everything I wanted to become. I didn’t have a roadmap — just a restless curiosity and a stubborn belief that I could build things that mattered.

That belief turned into a single line I’ve lived by ever since: think big, start small. I started small — a first computer, a first line of code, a first tiny program that actually worked. The feeling of solving a real problem for a real person never left me. It’s still the reason I sit down at the keyboard every morning.

From that small town I made my way to Mumbai, and over the last 15+ years I’ve had the privilege of building software used by more than 100,000 people — 25+ products spanning SaaS platforms, WordPress and WooCommerce plugins, and developer tools. I’ve led teams, mentored engineers, and shipped products with companies around the world, from GravityKit and Awesome Motive to Freemius and StoreApps.

But here’s what I’ve learned: the code is never really the point. The point is the person on the other side of the screen — the store owner trying to make a sale, the marketer trying to reach their audience, the developer trying to ship on time. I see myself as a problem solver first, who happens to be very good with software.

Away from the screen, I’m a son, a husband, and a father of two daughters who keep me humble. You’ll find me on a cricket ground or a badminton court — and trying very hard not to be the worst dancer in the room.
